Proof of this is the successful partnerships with reference universities for the validation and improvement of products — with the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), for the development of BemMax and Instant NEO, with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) for the pre-clinical research of Instant Neo and, recently, with the University of São Paulo (USP) for the verification of the Glycemic index of the new DiamaxIG.
Furthermore, the scientific research carried out by Prodiet has already been recognized twice internationally in one of the leading Nutrition organizations in the world, ASPEN. For Ana Paula Celes, Prodiet’s technical director, the awards result from the strength of the company’s scientific core.

Ana Paula Celes – Considering that Nutrition is the science that allows us to reach nutritional solutions, there is an intrinsic synergy. When we elaborate the nutritional composition of a formulation, analyzing the destination of use and the desired benefits, we seek to improve the quality of life of people who require particular nutrients.
Hellin dos Santos – In the science of Nutrition, we seek both the consolidated concepts and the possibility of investigating new nutritional solutions. After all, science is synonymous with knowledge, and the knowledge of Nutrition is constantly evolving.
What is the importance and role of the scientific nucleus in Prodiet?
Ana Paula Celes – Our scientific core allows us to be assertive in the nutritional elaboration of the formulas, always with an innovative look at the composition of ingredients and their blends. We thus establish the focus on the effects and benefits of the products for the consumer. In the Prodiet-research center/universities relationship, we realize pre-clinical and clinical research that we implement improvements to health care through nutritional formulations of excellence.

Ana Paula Celes – As I mentioned before, as we submit our formulations to research, we gain the opportunity to know the clinical results and their benefits or improvements in nutritional composition routes. Here at Prodiet, we are proud of our history in research: we were the first Latin American company to conduct clinical research in Brazil.

Hellin dos Santos – The awards received by ASPEN represent one of the central Enteral Nutrition Societies of the World to the research carried out by the partnerships Prodiet-Research Center/Universities. Investment in pre-clinical and clinical research is undoubtedly an ongoing process to strengthen the concepts of Prodiet products.
When it comes to establishing partnerships for research and product development, how important is it to value Brazilian universities and research institutions?
Hellin dos Santos – Brazil has numerous researchers and research groups of excellence, which have scientific knowledge and practice in research and expertise in disseminating science, which are publications in congresses and journals. This knowledge that we seek in the partnerships signed added to ours in the development of nutritional solutions.
