8 Recipes to Deal with Covid’s Sequels

In Brazil, from the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic until May 2021, more than 13 million Brazilians faced and were cured of the disease. But the challenges linked to the virus do not always end with a medical discharge. In one study, most of those infected with SARS-Cov-2 (76%) reported the permanence or appearance of at least one symptom after the acute phase of the disease.

These sequelae have been called “post-covid syndrome,” naming a set of remnants of the disease that a person may have weeks or even months after being considered cured of Covid-19. The main symptoms include tiredness and muscle weakness, changes in taste and smell, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, and depression.

Thinking about this and the importance of nutrition as an ally in recovery and physical rehabilitation, Prodiet, with the signature of nutritionist and consultant Paula Soares, prepared 8 recipes and a tip to face these consequences and ensure good nutrition; check it out!


White bean paste
2 cups cooked white beans
¼ cup olive oil
1 crushed garlic clove
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
¼ cup chopped parsley or cilantro
Chives, chopped
Salt and oregano to taste
3 measures of Immax

Fry the garlic in oil. Then add the cooked beans and saute for 1 minute. Add the herbs, zest, and lemon juice. Season with salt and oregano to taste and saute for another 2 minutes.

Turn off the heat, discard the garlic clove and mash the beans with a fork while still hot until it forms a paste. Transfer to a bowl, add to Immax, stir and let cool. Drizzle with a drizzle of oil and serve.


Pumpkin cream with Ginger Soup
½ boiled pumpkin
Chunks of ginger
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 ½ liter of water
Olive oil to taste
3 measures of Immax

Cook the pumpkin with a bit of salt and set it aside. Saute the ginger, garlic, and onion. In a blender, add all the ingredients, add the Immax, and blend.


Vanilla Energyzip Pudding
100ml water
4 measures of Instanth CLEAR (thickener)
100ml of EnergyZip vanilla flavor
Dilute the thickener in 100ml of water. After 1 minute of rest, add the EnergyZip vanilla flavor.

EnergyZip Brigadeirão
100 ml water
4 Instanth CLEAR ( thickener)
200ml EnergyZip chocolate flavor
Dilute the thickener in 100ml of water. After 1 minute of rest, add EnergyZip chocolate flavor.


Soothing Vitamin
200 ml of milk
1 passion fruit
2 measures of Bemmax
In a blender, blend the passion fruit pulp with the other ingredients. Sweeten with sugar or honey to taste.
Prodiet Tip: Foot Soak
An hour before bed, heat water and place in a bowl with a spoonful of rock salt, a tablespoon of rosemary, and 6 drops of lavender essential oil. Soak your feet for 30 minutes and leave the room in low light.


1 crushed banana
1 teaspoon grated
1 teaspoon oats
2 Brazil nuts1 teaspoon of Immax

Crush the banana and place the other ingredients on top. To accompany, prepare a calming tea of your choice, such as chamomile, melissa, mulungu, or passionflower.


Protein Avocado Mousse
1 avocado
½ packet of unflavored gelatin
1 sachet of ProteinPT Whey
Lemon zest

Dilute gelatine in water, mix with other ingredients and blend in a blender. Place in fridge.


Mix 200ml of EnergyZip strawberry flavor with 1 box of cream and freeze.
